Kimberly was Janan's first friend at Roeper and even though she now attends a different school, she and Janan have stayed very close. Kaeley is Kimberly's younger sister and the three of them play together so well!
We started with a trip to the lake for a final swim at Sunny Beach. The girls swam, played and then spent a bit of time on the playground swinging and doing the monkey bars. Apparently, a couple of the bars are loose so they spin. The girls were trying to make it all the way across without hitting the 'spinning bars', but got to giggling so hard they couldn't make it!
There's nothing like the laughter of children. It's so sincere!
After the lake, we came home for pizza and then the girls explored the woods behind the house one last time. This was Janan's "Terabithia" and she's spent many happy hours in those woods searching for fairies, building forts and hunting turtle, bugs and rocks.
We finished this memorable evening with 'Hotel for Dogs', a marshmallow roast and swinging in the dark. This is what friendship, freedom and summer is all about.
We head out for Indy tomorrow! See ya'll there!
